The number of plays increased, the audience welcomed them again
In early 2025, the number of new plays premiering on Ho Chi Minh City stages increased sharply.

Many stages also launch many new plays, renew old plays. This is a good sign for the Ho Chi Minh City theater industry.
Just at the beginning of the new year 2025, there were many plays premiered, both old and new. IDECAF Drama Theater premiered the comedy "Liang Shanbo - Zhu Yingtai's Extra Story" (author: Trung Tin, director: Dinh Toan) in early 2025. Keeping the tradition of preparing for the Lunar New Year performance season early, this is also one of the two new plays of IDECAF to serve the audience this Tet holiday.
IDECAF also performed 3 consecutive hit comedies in early 2025 including "Tam Cam Dai Chien", "12 Ba Midwives" and "Thuoc Bung Dat"; the audience still filled the stage for each performance.
Thien Dang Stage welcomes the new year 2025 with two plays "The Ghosts of the Theater" and "Leaked". Both plays are a collaboration between author Le Hoang and director Thanh Loc, bringing very typical satirical laughter.

Looking forward to quality work
According to People's Artist My Uyen, drama is increasingly receiving attention, investment, and popularity with a wide audience, especially young people.
The fact that drama stages in Ho Chi Minh City focus more on quality will help reach more audiences. First, for those who love art, many good plays will create more opportunities for audiences to learn, approach, and become more attached to this art form as well as choose plays for entertainment.
For those who are not much interested in drama, through communication and sharing, plays rich in artistry, good messages and meanings can attract more attention from the audience.
