On August 7, the Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee surveyed the progress of Provincial Road 907 (phase 2) and the road project from National Highway 53 to Hoa Phu Industrial Park (DT. 909B), connecting Phu Loc - Bau Goc - National Highway 1 to check progress, remove difficulties, and promote disbursement of public investment capital.
According to the Vinh Long Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, Provincial Road 907 (phase 2) has a total investment of 892 billion VND. The 2026 capital plan is allocated 357 billion VND, and so far more than 128.3 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching 36%; the construction value of the packages being implemented is about 64.61%.
The Project Management Board said that site clearance work is still facing many difficulties. In Cai Nhum commune, there are still 26 households that have not received compensation and 73 households that have not been approved for plans. Hieu Thanh commune still has 2 households that have not handed over land, including one household doing business in construction materials that has not been relocated.
For the remaining sections, units are continuing to measure, inventory, and complete dossiers, and are expected to approve compensation plans in November 2026 to promptly hand over the site to serve the construction of the next items.
Regarding the road project from National Highway 53 to Hoa Phu Industrial Park (DT. 909B), connecting Phu Loc - Bau Goc - National Highway 1, the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the project has a total investment of 1,493 billion VND; the capital plan for 2026 is more than 505.6 billion VND.
Accumulated disbursement of the entire project reached more than 1,064.2 billion VND, equivalent to 65.75%. Among packages, packages No. 1 and No. 3 have been completed; package No. 4 is basically completed; package No. 2 reached 13.84% of the volume; package No. 130 has just started construction. It is expected that by the end of September 2026, disbursement of the annual capital plan will reach about 35.6%.
In terms of land, the Phuoc Hau section supplemented still has 92 households and 2 organizations that do not have specific land prices to develop compensation plans; other sections still have 2 households. In Phu Quoi commune, there are still 11 households that have not received compensation money and 4 households that have not been approved for supplementary plans.
After listening to the report and conducting field inspections, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, and localities to focus on thoroughly handling bottlenecks in site clearance.
For Provincial Road 907 (phase 2), it is necessary to complete the handling of problems in Cai Nhum and Hieu Thanh communes in August 2026; and at the same time accelerate procedures for land recovery, excerpts, and verification of traffic land for sections preparing for construction.
Regarding the road project from National Highway 53 to Hoa Phu Industrial Park (DT. 909B), the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested to soon determine the specific land price as a basis for preparing and approving compensation plans; focus on definitively resolving households with problems, creating conditions for construction units to use existing roads to transport materials and equipment and handle cases of houses located on industrial park land in accordance with regulations.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that these are all key transport projects, playing a role in connecting infrastructure, creating motivation to attract investment and socio-economic development of the province. Investors, contractors and localities need to strengthen coordination, remove arising difficulties, ensure construction progress, project quality and complete the public investment capital disbursement plan for 2026.
