The person being shamed is a wounded soldier

Informing Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. D. T. D in Yen Thai village, Phu Cat commune, Hanoi said: "I am a 3/4 wounded soldier, enlisted in September 1972, participated in the Ho Chi Minh campaign, was wounded on March 8, 1975, and there are still many shrapnel fragments left in my body".
According to Mr. D, in the past time, he has been continuously defamed and slandered by some individuals, including Mr. D. D. T and his son in the same village, on social networks and in residential areas.
The peak was around February and March 2026, this group of people photoshopped his photos, hung banners on pickup trucks and continuously radioed throughout the village.
According to Mr. D, the prolonged incident caused his mental health to seriously decline, and at many times he fell into a state of deadlock. "There were times when I wanted to commit suicide because the incident happened continuously but had not been resolved," Mr. D shared, and expressed his wish that functional agencies and local authorities would soon intervene to clarify and protect his honor.
Providing more information about this issue, Ms. B.T. T (Mr. D's wife) said that the content defaming Mr. D is "blatantly and cruelly fabricated".
Not stopping there, the subjects also continued to attack their two sons, who are currently working in state agencies. This caused the family to fall into a prolonged state of tension.
Notably, Ms. T said that at about 2 am on March 2, her husband intended to commit suicide but was discovered in time and stopped. "If I hadn't woken up at that time, the consequences would have been very unpredictable," Ms. T said.
