Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Hanoi City Police, implementing the plan of the Traffic Police Department and Hanoi City Police on the peak period of ensuring security and order, traffic safety and order during the September 2 holiday, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department has mobilized maximum forces, strengthened inspection, and strictly handled violations that are the main causes of congestion and traffic accidents.
On the road, on the first day of the holiday, functional forces discovered and handled 1,154 violations, fined more than 2.65 billion VND; temporarily seized 312 vehicles, deducted points from driver's licenses in 111 cases and revoked driver's licenses in 9 cases.
Among them, violations of alcohol concentration are 253 cases; violations of oversized, overloaded, and extended truck beds are 24 cases; speed violations are 16 cases...
On the railway line, traffic police handled 22 cases, fining 17.85 million VND.
Also on August 29, the traffic police force conducted a total of 469 transport business vehicles (including 279 passenger transport vehicles and 190 freight transport vehicles).
Through inspection, 182 violations (125 passenger cars, 57 cargo cars) were detected and handled, fines estimated at about 197.9 million VND and 5 driver's license points were deducted.
The main violations are improper stopping and parking (134 cases); carrying goods in passenger compartments (6 cases); overloading, oversized (9 cases); entering prohibited roads, prohibited hours (2 cases)...
In the coming days, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department will continue to maintain forces, coordinate with commune-level police to strengthen patrols, inspections, and strictly handle violations, ensuring people's safe travel throughout the holidays.
