Joining the atmosphere of celebrating the 81st National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026), Hanoi Book Street (Street 19/12, Cua Nam ward) brings a series of diverse activities from August 29 to September 2, 2026, creating a cultural space for people and tourists during the holidays with sightseeing, entertainment and relaxation areas.
The "Autumn of Independence 2026" book fair with the message "Opening Book Pages - Proud of Vietnam" takes place in the main stage area of Hanoi Book Street.
Here, the book fair introduces many book groups in the fields of literature, children, life skills, economy, history, science - technology, education... The content is chosen for many groups of readers from children, students to parents and employees. Many book titles are discounted from 30%, 50% to 60%.
In addition to displaying and introducing books, the program has many interactive activities such as experiencing VR virtual reality space, lucky wheels, check-in to receive gifts, artistic ball spinning, and a program to sell paintings made of eggshells to raise funds to support students of Ban Bo Secondary School, Lai Chau.
According to records, on the very first day of the event, when the weather was cool, the book street attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit and experience. In particular, many families with young children chose Hanoi Book Street as a place to play and relax during the holidays.
In addition to the book display area, the VR virtual reality space area is enjoyed by many young people and children. Participants will wear specialized glasses, immerse themselves in a simulated space combining a real environment and both visual and vivid virtual objects.
Ms. Dung, 30 years old, shared: "I experience virtual reality technology and feel that the game has virtual graphics but at the same time has quite realistic interactions. So the game is suitable for experiencing for many ages. Like today, when I bring my child to participate, both aunt and niece find it very interesting".
Mr. Long, 40 years old, shared that this is the first time he has brought his child to a book fair like this, and expressed his excitement when the whole family experienced many diverse activities.
“I went with my child to the book display area and experienced the virtual reality area. Seeing my child happy, my parents are also happy. I really hope to organize more similar events in Hanoi during holidays. If there are more book events or experiences taking place near apartment buildings, it will be even more convenient for families with young children,” Mr. Long said.
On the evenings of August 29th, 31st and September 2nd, Book Street also has theme movie screenings. In addition, a modern music concert program will take place on the evenings of August 30th and September 1st.
