Gia Lai - Due to rising floods and strong water flows, 31 people in Meo village are stuck and cannot cross the river to return home.

On November 20, Dak Song Commune Police and the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team of An Khe area said that they had successfully rescued 31 people surrounded by floods in the area.

On the afternoon of November 19, heavy rain lasting for many hours caused the water level of the Ba River flowing through Dak Song commune to rise, the flow was extremely strong, separating the two banks at a distance of more than 70 m.

At this time, 31 people from Meo village (Dak Song commune) were stuck on the other side of the river.

After receiving the rescue information, Dak Song Commune Police used a rope to let them float to the other side to provide food and warm clothes to the people trapped. At the same time, people are required to stay calm and not cross the river, which is endangering their lives. Rescue plans are being deployed.

By 6:30 p.m. the same day, with the active coordination and support of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team of An Khe area and the people, all 31 citizens trapped were successfully rescued and brought to shore safely.
