On the afternoon of August 25, information from the Fire and Rescue Police Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said that the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 9 had just successfully rescued a case of falling into a drainage canal on the national highway.
Previously, at about 4:12 pm on the same day, the unit received a report from the 114 Command Information Center about an accident that occurred in the area in front of Nghia Luong pagoda gate, belonging to Luong Hoa residential group, Bac Nha Trang ward.
According to initial information, a resident driving a motorbike lost control of the steering wheel, causing both the person and the vehicle to fall into the drainage canal along National Highway 1.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 9 dispatched a specialized vehicle and 7 officers and soldiers to the scene.
At the scene, the victim was lying under the drainage canal, more than 2m deep above National Highway 1. This person suffered multiple injuries, a broken ankle, many wounds in the head area and could not move on his own.
Rescue forces quickly approached and coordinated with medical staff of Khanh Hoa 115 Emergency Center to give first aid to the victim.
The wounds were bandaged, the broken ankle was fixed to limit damage during the process of bringing the victim out of the canal.
After first aid, functional forces used specialized stretchers to bring the victim to a safe area, then handed it over to medical forces to transfer to the hospital for treatment.
In parallel with rescue work, rescue forces coordinated with people to use rescue ropes to pull motorbikes from under the canal. The vehicle was then handed over to the victim's family.
The victim was identified as Mr. N.V.Q (born in 1985, residing in Luong Hoa residential group, Bac Nha Trang ward).
