On July 18, information from the Central Coast Urban Development Project Management Board towards green growth and response to climate change of Dong Ha city (referred to as the Project Management Board) said that all power poles located in the middle of the road at alleys under the traffic upgrade project in the area have been completely relocated.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper had an article reflecting the inadequacy at the traffic item under the project to renovate low-income areas (LIA) invested by Dong Ha Ward People's Committee.
The project implements the expansion and upgrading of 4 roads connecting to the two main roads, Nguyen Thuong Hien and Mac Dinh Chi. Because the construction unit accelerated the progress of asphalting the road surface before relocating the old power grid, leading to the situation that up to 14 power poles suddenly "sprouted" in the middle of the walkway (including 6 poles at alley 30 Nguyen Thuong Hien, 5 poles at alley 22 Nguyen Thuong Hien and 3 poles at alley 27 Mac Dinh Chi). Many poles are located 2 meters away from the edge of the new road, becoming extremely dangerous obstacles, posing a high risk of traffic accidents, causing the construction unit to hang ropes and place temporary warning stakes.

After that, the Project Management Board closely coordinated with Quang Tri Power Company to urgently accelerate the processing progress. Based on the technical agreement on grid relocation signed by the two sides, functional forces simultaneously launched operations to excavate foundations and erect 21 new centrifugal concrete columns to replace and move 0.4kV power lines after the substation out of the roadway area.
All dangerous power poles located in the middle of the above roads have been removed and completely relocated, and the power line system has also been safely connected to new rows of poles on the roadside.
Currently, after completing the relocation of poles and power lines, the investor is directing the contractor to focus on completing the remaining technical items, carrying out leveling and thorough compaction of the foundation pits of power poles that have just returned to the ground for early acceptance, officially putting the roads into safe use, serving the convenient travel needs of local people.
