On December 27, the Propaganda Department of Da Nang City held a Conference to summarize the work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025. In 2024, the Propaganda Department of the Da Nang City Party Committee promoted the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, and actively implemented comprehensively all fields, contributing significantly to the completion of the tasks of the political system. The entire sector proactively advised Party committees at all levels to effectively deploy and implement the propaganda, dissemination, and in-depth study of the Resolutions of the 13th Central Conference and new documents of the Central Committee, the City Party Committee, and Party committees at all levels.
At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Da Nang City Party Committee, said that 2025 is the year of holding Party Congresses at all levels towards the 23rd Congress of the City Party Committee and the 14th Congress of the Party. Therefore, the Propaganda Department of the Da Nang City Party Committee must closely follow the situation of the city, domestically and internationally to direct and orient synchronous and comprehensive propaganda in the fields of politics, socio-economy, national defense - security, foreign affairs, and protection of sea and island sovereignty. Especially the fight against corruption and negativity to create ideological stability among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life.
Previously, at the 10th meeting of the Steering Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity (Steering Committee) to give opinions on some contents and deploy tasks in 2025, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity also emphasized: "The Standing Office of the Steering Committee needs to complete and submit to the Steering Committee to issue the Key Work Program for 2025, the Inspection and Supervision Program for 2025 to implement synchronously and uniformly from the beginning of the year, focusing on implementing the task of fighting waste in the spirit of direction of General Secretary To Lam. Implement Conclusion No. 77 of the Politburo to unlock resources to contribute to promoting the city's development."
According to the Steering Committee for the Prevention and Combat of Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity of Da Nang City, to date, the Investigation Police Agency of the City Police has issued investigation conclusions on 2 cases. The People's Procuracy of the City has issued an indictment for 1 case under the supervision and direction of the City Steering Committee. The High People's Court in Da Nang has tried 1 case on appeal. The Steering Committee has agreed to remove 1 case from the supervision and direction. The Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency has recovered assets and auctioned off 1 asset related to criminal judgments on corruption and economic crimes with a total amount of 6.14 billion VND; recovered more than 15.8 billion VND.
