Accordingly, tourism service business establishments are encouraged to limit the use of products such as plastic water bottles, plastic cups, plastic straws, nylon bags, styrofoam boxes in the process of serving customers; and at the same time deploy models of providing shared drinking water, using reusable or environmentally friendly items instead.

Units also need to carry out waste classification at source, comply with the process of collecting and treating plastic waste, and ensure regulations on environmental protection in tourism activities.

For establishments producing and supplying packaged drinks and food, the city encourages the transition to environmentally friendly packaging, gradually limiting and moving towards not using disposable plastic; prioritizing products in glass bottles or reusable products.

People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones are assigned to strengthen mobilization, inspection, and supervision of the implementation of reducing plastic waste in tourism activities and at events and festivals in the area.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has the task of promoting propaganda and replicating environmentally friendly tourism models that do not generate plastic waste.

According to Da Nang City People's Committee, the implementation of the above solutions aims to contribute to building a green, clean, and beautiful tourism environment, towards sustainable development and the image of an "environmental city".
