On June 9, Market Management Team No. 2 under the Market Management Department of Da Nang said that it was temporarily detaining 287 units of products such as functional foods, milk, and cosmetics produced abroad, without invoices and documents proving the legality of the goods.
Accordingly, on May 28, Market Management Team No. 2 under the Da Nang Market Management Department organized a surprise inspection of a business location in Hai Chau District, Da Nang City.
Through inspection, 287 units of products, which are functional foods, dairy, and cosmetics of all kinds produced abroad, were discovered and temporarily detained. At the time of inspection, the business location owner did not have invoices or documents proving the legality of the goods. The total value of the exhibits was determined according to the listed price of 78 million 890 thousand VND.
Based on current legal regulations, Market Management Team No. 2 reported to the Da Nang Market Management Department to submit to the Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee for consideration and decision to administratively sanction the above business location for the act of "Trading in smuggled goods" with a total fine of 70 million VND.
In addition, Market Management Team No. 2 continues to develop plans and strategies to strengthen the fight against and handling of violations of trading in smuggled goods, goods of unknown origin; counterfeit goods... to promptly detect and strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law.
