Many goods of unknown origin and no invoices or documents have been temporarily detained at inspection stores to continue verifying signs of violations and handling them in accordance with the provisions of law.
According to Mr. Tran Viet Hung - Head of Market Management Department, this is not the first time that market forces have deployed inspections of items violating intellectual property rights, especially in urban areas with a strong tourism service industry.
The inspection not only aims to handle violations but also contributes to cleaning the market, protecting the rights of consumers, especially international tourists, and enhancing the reputation of goods in Vietnam.
Mr. Hung said that these activities are being implemented within the framework of Plan 888 of the Market Management Force and will continue to be expanded in the coming time nationwide, especially in large urban areas and key areas.
Up to now, shops in this area continue to close, dragging curtains to cover the facade, locking the inside to avoid being inspected in the next round.
