At the Conference on the estimate of city budget revenue and commune budget revenue for the last 6 months of 2025 and 2026; tax loss prevention work, Da Nang Tax said that domestic revenue in the first 8 months of 2025 in the city reached 31,926 billion VND, equal to 77.4% of the estimate and increased by 20.5% over the same period in 2024. This result shows that the city's production and business activities continue to grow.
Of which, land use fee collection is nearly VND 3,500 billion, reaching 71.4% of the estimate and increasing by 104.2% over the same period; revenue from taxes, fees, charges and other budget revenue is VND 28427 billion, reaching 78.2% of the estimate and increasing by 114.7% over the same period.
The work of preventing State budget losses is focused on. In the first 8 months of 2025, the city's entire tax system completed 1,226/2,105 inspections, reaching 58.2% of the inspection task assigned by the Tax Department. The total amount of money recommended for handling after inspection is 722 million VND.
From now until the end of 2025, Da Nang Tax will continue to closely follow the direction of the Ministry of Finance, the Tax Department, the City Party Committee, and the City People's Committee in performing the task of collecting the budget, preventing loss of state budget revenue in 2025. Thereby, implementing measures to manage and exploit increased revenue for some sectors with large potential.
At the meeting, representatives of wards and communes discussed difficulties in budget collection and expenditure after implementing the two-level local government; at the same time, proposed solutions to make the collection and expenditure of local budgets more convenient and effective in the coming time.
Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh requested wards and communes to submit expenditure estimates; wards and communes with large revenues to report additional expenditure tasks.
Regarding the budget revenue exceeding the estimate in wards and communes other than the target assigned by the People's Council of Da Nang City (old) and Quang Nam Province (old) in early 2025, Da Nang Tax and the Department of Finance have reported to the City People's Committee for guidance from the Ministry of Finance.
The Vice Chairman of the city suggested that Da Nang Tax Department continue to direct grassroots units to closely monitor the budget collection progress, analyze and forecast the situation and impacts affecting budget revenue in the area, promptly deploy implementation solutions, strive to complete and exceed the 2025 collection task.
Regarding the budget revenue estimate for 2026, the city will develop a plan to decentralize revenue sources and expenditure tasks appropriately for each locality.
