Hung Yen province is seeking opinions on the draft adjustment of the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. In the period 2026-2030, the province identifies a list of many priority investment programs and projects, focusing on infrastructure, industry, services and urban development, in order to create a foundation for socio-economic growth in the coming period.
According to the draft, the priority list is divided into 5 groups of programs, projects, and works, distributed in many fields. This is considered an important basis for Hung Yen to promote synchronous development, improve competitiveness and improve the quality of life of the people.
The group of technical infrastructure programs and projects is considered a highlight in this planning adjustment period. In the field of transportation alone, the province plans to implement about 50 projects and programs, in order to strengthen inter-regional and intra-provincial connectivity, create favorable conditions for traffic flow, attract investment and economic development.
Notably, Hung Yen proposes to study the construction of an international airport in Dong Chau commune. The project is determined to be studied after 2030 and implemented according to the overall plan for the development of the airport system and national airport. Along with that, the province plans to invest in building Ba Lat port in Hung Phu commune, including planning a Ba Lat gasoline and oil storage with a scale of less than 5,000m3. The port has the capacity to receive ships with a tonnage of about 3,000 tons in the river area and can reach 5,000 tons when conditions are met.
In the technical infrastructure group, Hung Yen also included in the priority list the Hung Yen LNG - gas power center project, with a scale of about 193ha, which is one of the province's major energy projects.

In the field of urban development, the province proposes to invest in building a provincial-level centralized administrative area in Pho Hien ward, with a scale of about 7.5ha, in order to concentrate administrative agencies and improve management efficiency.
The group of commercial, service, and tourism infrastructure has 20 projects, including the Fair and Exhibition Center in Thai Binh and Pho Hien wards, with a scale of about 15ha. The province proposes many large tourism projects such as Con Den marine eco-tourism area (about 1,150ha), Thuy Truong eco-tourism area in Dong Thuy Anh commune (1,500ha), along with general service areas, entertainment, sports, and golf courses in many areas.
Hung Yen also plans to develop a night economic zone in Thai Binh ward, Pho Hien ward and orient the formation of a free economic zone in the near future.
In the social infrastructure group, the health sector has 11 projects, notably the project to invest in building infrastructure and equipment for the provincial General Hospital with a scale of about 1,500 beds. The education sector has 4 projects, focusing on developing specialized schools and high-quality schools.
