Meritorious Artist Fiaoiaoiao, born in 1932, is a famous announcer and actress, known as "the gentlest mother on Vietnamese screens".
She is famous for her roles as a hard-working mother in White Blouse, blooming Apple Tree, Sun Gate, and is still diligent in acting, driving her own motorbike to work even though she is over 90 years old.
At the age of 93, Meritorious Artist Fiaoiaoiao still makes many people admire her persistent artistic spirit and rare love for the profession. Not only leaving a deep impression on the cai luong stage and Vietnamese screens, her artistic life is also associated with humane stories of support.
Although over 90 years old, Fiaoiao still maintains the habit of riding her own motorbike to the studio or interview location whenever her health allows.
In her artistic journey spanning more than half a century, Fedieu always believes in helping the younger generation with her abilities. That spirit led to a special relationship between her and the late singer Phi Nhung and Ho Van Cuong at the Vietnam Idol Kids 2016 final night.
According to Phi Dieu in the talk show The Khang Show, on the day of the Vietnam Idol Kids 2016 final, Phi Nhung was performing in the Central region, so she called her early in the morning, asking her to help Ho Van Cuong. "I can't accept that situation," the female artist said. At that time, Ho Van Cuong was still very immature in his acting skills, only used to sing at weddings and death anniversaries. This made Phi Diao worried.
That evening, when meeting Ho Van Cuong, Phi Dieu instructed the boy to just focus on singing his part well. At that moment, Ho Van Cuong burst into tears on stage, creating an emotional performance, touching the hearts of judges and the audience.
At first, Fiao Yan did not think Ho Van Cuong would win because there were many strong candidates that year. Only when everyone informed her and opened the TV to watch, did she believe it was real, then called to report the good news to Phi Nhung. Regarding her private life, Phi Dieu said that her husband had been dead for more than 10 years. Every time she has free time, she often goes to the pagoda to light incense for her partner.
