In the next 3 days, the continental cold high pressure will continue to move east and gradually weaken. It is likely to strengthen again around February 7 and the last 1-2 days. Above, the subtropical high pressure with an axis through the Central region will operate stably.

Therefore, from now until around February 7, the weather in the South will be cold and foggy at night and early morning, which can affect health.

Regarding salinity intrusion in the Mekong Delta, it is high in the first 2-3 days of the week and then gradually decreases towards the end of the week. The highest salinity at stations is generally lower than the highest salinity in February 2024, with some stations in Tra Vinh having higher salinity.

High saline intrusion in the Mekong Delta is likely to occur in February-March 2025 (from February 10-16, February 27-March 4); in the Vam Co and Cai Lon rivers in March-April 2025 (from March 10-15, March 29-April 2, April 27-May 1).
