Speaking at a dialogue on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of Nation Group Media Group on July 9, when asked whether Thai politics were falling into a deadlock, Mr. Thaksin replied: "There needs to be someone to rise up and solve the problem. We have to deal with situations when they arise.
He also mentioned that many people want to become Prime Minister and that according to him, fierce competition makes many people willing to act by all means.
Regarding Bhumjaithai's withdrawal from the ruling coalition, Mr. Thaksin said that Pheu Thai's party did not ask Bhumjaithai to leave. However, he emphasized that the government headed by the Pheu Thai Party needs to prove its effectiveness in management, because only practical results can help the government go further.
He also said that although the government has made efforts to promote policies, there are problems at the Ministry of Home Affairs, which plays a key role in issues such as drug control, poverty reduction and debt management.

When asked about political stability, Mr. Thaksin emphasized that in state management, "the problem is to solve, not to prolong". He said Thailand needs to adapt to the current context and act on principle, because the war rules in the past are no longer relevant.
When asked about the possibility of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra not being reappointed, Mr. Thaksin expressed confidence in the legal process and affirmed: I believe in the truth and the integrity of my daughter. The court will listen to the evidence.
He also commented that the current government leadership is coordinating well, but it is necessary to ensure that lawmakers do not leave the National Assembly. If Prime Minister Paetongtarn continues to hold office and implement the policy, the government can remain stable. In the opposite case, he said the Pheu Thai Party could nominate Chaikasem Nitisiri as a replacement candidate or consider a plan to dissolve the House of Representatives.
