On December 31, the Vietnam Road Administration informed about the location of rest stops, intersections for entering and leaving the expressway, and essential services on the North-South expressway in the East.
Accordingly, for rest stops that have been put into operation on the North-South expressway from Hanoi to Can Tho, there are 5 rest stops being operated, including: Gie - Ninh Binh (VEC station), Cao Bo - Mai Son (Xuan Khiem station on the left side of the route, Xuan Cuong station on the right side of the route), La Son - Hoa Lien (left side of the route), Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay, Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong.
In addition, there is 1 parking spot on the Da Nang - Quang Ngai highway that has just been put into use.
The above rest stops and vehicle stops are serving well the needs of people and vehicles traveling on the highway.
The Vietnam Road Administration also said that for the rest stops being invested in, the Department has signed investment contracts for construction and business operation of 21 rest stops.
Currently, investors are urgently implementing according to the contract schedule, ensuring the completion of all rest stops in 2026.
The progress of implementation and completion of essential public service works of the stations is as follows:
By December 31, 2025, 10 stations had essential public service works put into operation, including:
(1) Mai Son - National Highway 45, (2) Nghi Son - Dien Chau, (3) Ham Nghi - Vung Ang, (4) Vung Ang - Bung, (5) Cam Lo - La Son, (6) Van Phong - Nha Trang, (7) Nha Trang - Cam Lam, (8) Cam Lam - Vinh Hao, (9) Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Km205, (10) Phan Thiet - Dau Giay (right side of the route).
Thus, by December 31, 2025, there will be 15 rest stops and 1 stop serving on the highway, meeting the essential needs of people and vehicles participating in traffic.
The Vietnam Road Administration added that by January 31, 2026, there will continue to be 10 stations with essential public service works put into operation, including:
(1) National Highway 45 - Nghi Son, (2) Dien Chau - Bai Vot, (3) Bung - Van Ninh, (4) Van Ninh - Cam Lo, (5) Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Km15, (6) Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Km77, (7) Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon, (8) Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh, (Phan Thiet - Dau Giay on the left of the route), (9) Can Tho - Hau Giang, (10) Hau Giang - Ca Mau.
Regarding Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Km144 station, it has not yet been deployed because the locality has not handed over the site.
The Vietnam Road Administration emphasized that, during the construction and completion of rest stops; to ensure traffic order and safety, serving people during holidays, New Year and Lunar New Year 2026, the Administration provides information on the location of rest stops, intersections for entering and leaving the expressway, neighboring services (including gas stations...) of component projects of the North-South expressway in the East and routes connecting to the expressway for people to refer to.
