On the afternoon of July 27, through monitoring on satellite cloud images, weather radar images, and lightning positioning, it was shown that thunderstorm clouds were developing, causing showers and accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in the provinces of Can Tho, An Giang, and Dong Nai. Thap, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh.
In the coming hours, thunderstorm clouds will continue to develop and cause showers with thunderstorms and lightning in the above areas. Then, thunderstorm clouds tend to expand and spread to other neighboring areas.
Common rainfall ranges from 5-20mm, in some places over 30mm. During a thunderstorm, watch out for tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds level 5-8 (8-21m/s).
In the next 24-48 hours, the tropical convergence zone with an axis through the Northern region will gradually weaken. The southwest monsoon operates with moderate to strong intensity. At high altitude, subtropical high pressure tends to encroach on the West again.
From 72 hours to 10 days, the low pressure trough with an axis through the Northern region is weakly active. The southwest monsoon gradually decreases in intensity. At high altitude, the subtropical high pressure continues to encroach on the West and gradually strengthens, from around July 30, it has a horizontal axis across the South Central region to the South, then gradually lifts the axis to the North.
Therefore, the Southern region has showers and thunderstorms, locally with heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, locally over 70mm.
The eastern seaboard of the North and the middle of the East Sea, the waters from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong winds.
