According to Lao Dong's records, at nearly 0:00 on February 23, at Mien Tay Bus Station, passenger cars from the Mekong Delta provinces lined up to turn into the station.
Motorbikes, private cars and technology vehicles jostle in front of the gate. At times, vehicles move in short sections, stretching hundreds of meters.

Inside the bus station, it was also crowded. The rows of buses just entered quickly dropped off passengers, and luggage was moved down continuously. Passengers stood crowded at all walkways, people pulled suitcases, and people carried many bags of luggage, creating a busy scene in the middle of the night.

Many people showed signs of fatigue after many hours of sitting in the bus. Young children dozed off in their relatives' arms, while adults took the opportunity to call and book buses to leave the station.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang (from Can Tho) said that his bus departed from the afternoon of February 22nd but could not enter the station until after 11 pm due to prolonged traffic jams.
According to Mr. Hoang, along the national highway, many sections are crowded with vehicles, causing vehicles to drive slowly, sometimes almost standing still.
The bus was supposed to arrive around 9 pm, but now it's 2 hours later. Sitting in the bus for a long time, everyone is tired, especially those with young children," Mr. Hoang shared.
Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Thi Minh (from Dong Thap) said that after getting out of the car, her family continued to face difficulties when booking technology cars. The application repeatedly reported that the car was out of stock or the waiting time was prolonged.
The demand is high, so booking a car is more difficult. The price is also higher than usual. I have tapped the ride several times to get a driver to pick me up. I just hope to get home quickly so I can go to work in the morning," Ms. Minh said.
By more than 1 am on February 23, the number of vehicles pouring into Mien Tay Bus Station was still large. It is forecasted that in the coming days, when people return to Ho Chi Minh City to work after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 holiday, the traffic volume through this area may continue to increase.
