Lao Cai - After discovering 22 martyrs' graves in the early days of searching, functional forces continued to find 6 more graves in the Da Voi hill area.

On September 13, the Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains of Lao Cai province informed that functional forces have discovered 6 more martyrs' graves in the Da Voi hill area (group 39, Cam Duong ward).

Previously, from September 9 to 11, the repatriation force discovered 22 martyrs' graves at Da Voi hill. On September 12 alone, the unit found 6 more graves, bringing the total number of martyrs' graves discovered in this area to 28.

At the scene, forces focused manpower and vehicles, organized searches by area, and carefully reviewed locations that may have graves and remains of martyrs.

According to the account of some witnesses, on February 25, 1979, in the Da Voi hill area, the unit was ambushed by the enemy, and many officers and soldiers sacrificed.

When the enemy withdrew, the unit organized the collection of fallen soldiers and buried them in the Da Voi hill area. After that, the remains were repatriated to the martyrs' cemetery, but there are still some cases that have not been found.
