According to initial information, at around 11pm on August 8, Quy Nhon Ward Police and the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Gia Lai province inspected a car with license plate 77C-167.64 driven by T.N.H (born in 1997, residing in Hoai An commune), which was loading pork at the intersection of Nguyen Chanh - Pham Hong Thai streets (Quy Nhon ward).

The person who bought this meat to sell on the market was identified as Ms. N.T.T (born in 1971, residing in Quy Nhon ward).
Through inspection, the authorities discovered that the vehicle was carrying more than 1 ton of pork with a foul smell, leaky skin suspected of being infected with disease, no signs of quarantine and unknown origin.
The working group made a record, seized all the exhibits and coordinated with specialized agencies to destroy them according to regulations.
According to Quy Nhon Ward Police, the unit is strengthening coordination with functional forces to inspect and control during the epidemic period to prevent pork from being infected with disease or of unknown origin to consumers.
