In emotion, relatives expressed their gratitude for the sense of responsibility of the Tu Mo Rong Commune Police and the Commune People's Committee for promptly discovering, caring for, protecting the safety of life and preserving all of Mr. Toan's property intact during the 5 days of being lost.
Previously, at about 9:20 am on July 2, Tu Mo Rong Commune Police received a report from people about the discovery of a strange man, with a depleted body, showing abnormal signs, walking in the forest area of Ty Tu village, Tu Mo Rong commune.
This is a terrain area with dangerous terrain, many deep abysses, and potential safety risks. Immediately after receiving information, the Commune Police coordinated with local security forces to urgently deploy search and rescue.
After nearly 6 hours of crossing forests and hills, the police force discovered Mr. Pham Van Toan in a state of hunger, thirst, and exhaustion in the forest and quickly took him to headquarters for care, resuscitation, and safety assurance.
Initial information shows that before getting lost in the forest in Tu Mo Rong commune, Mr. Toan had about 5 days of driving in a state of not being able to determine the direction.

The distance from home to the stray location is about 550km. At the commune police headquarters, he does not remember why he went from Lam Dong province to Tu Mo Rong commune, only remembers riding a motorbike but does not know where to put it.
From this testimony, the commune police continued to verify and found his motorbike about 4.5km from where it was discovered.
Preserve assets worth more than 1 billion VND, support safe housing
Inside the car were citizen identification cards, more than 656 million VND in cash, a 3-chi gold chain and a mobile phone.
Through inspection, his bank account still had more than 515 million VND. Mr. Toan said that the money he brought was from selling the fields.
Through verification with the local authorities where he resided and relatives, the Commune Police determined that Mr. Toan showed signs of mental illness, and his mind was not clear.
Mr. Toan lived alone, so when he was away from home, relatives thought he was going to play in the area near his house, until the police agency reported the news, the family knew he was lost.
During his stay at the headquarters, the commune police arranged accommodation, care, food and beverage services and completed verification procedures to contact the family to pick him up, helping him reunite with all his assets being protected intact.
Major Nguyen Van Hanh, Head of Tu Mo Rong Commune Police, said that at the time the police force successfully rescued them, heavy rain and cold winds began to appear in the area due to the impact of storms and floods.
Timely detection and rescue helped Mr. Toan not have to continue staying in the forest, avoiding rain, wind, cold, landslide risks and ensuring his life's safety.
The commune police will support bringing Mr. Toan's people, vehicles, and property back to Lam Dong.
