On June 20, Ea Na Commune Police (Dak Lak province) informed that the unit had just received and handed over a rare flower iguana to the natural environment.
Previously, on June 16, Ea Na Commune Police received a report from Mr. Trinh Xuan Vuong about his family discovering a salamander straying into the house.
Immediately after receiving the information, Ea Na Commune Police quickly arrived at the scene, coordinated with Mr. Vuong's family to receive and protect the animal individual.
Through initial inspection, functional forces determined that this is a vase lizard individual belonging to group IIB - List of endangered, precious, and rare forest animals protected by law.
On the morning of June 17, Ea Na Commune Police coordinated with Lak Regional Forest Protection Department to complete the procedures according to regulations, and at the same time proceeded to hand over and release the flower iguana individual back to the natural environment at Chu Yang Sin National Park, ensuring safety.
Timely receiving, processing and handing over rare forest animal individuals to nature contributes to protecting biodiversity, raising people's awareness in wildlife protection. At the same time, it demonstrates the spirit of responsibility of functional forces in preserving endangered, precious and rare forest animal species in the area.
