Although the number of passengers flocking to Mien Tay Bus Station increased sharply on December 28th of the lunar calendar, the traffic situation at the western gateway of Ho Chi Minh City still maintained stability, vehicles moved conveniently, and there was no prolonged congestion.

Recorded on February 15th (ie December 28th of the lunar calendar), the atmosphere at Mien Tay Bus Station became extremely bustling. At about 10 am, the waiting rows were full. Most passengers had actively booked tickets online in advance and arrived at the station early to wait for departure time.

To meet the sudden increase in travel demand, many transport businesses have had to double the number of trips compared to normal days. A car company shared that if normal days only operate 10-20 cars, during Tet peak season, this number increases significantly to relieve passenger demand.

Carrying luggage back to Ca Mau, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu excitedly said: "Although I have to wait a little because there are many customers, I feel very happy. Working hard all year, no matter how tired I am, it disappears when I think about the time to reunite with my family.

Representatives of Mien Tay Bus Station said that usually the bus station will be crowded in the last days of the year from December 26th to 28th of the lunar calendar. The bus station has made all plans to serve passengers when the number of passengers increases sharply.
In contrast to the crowded scene inside the bus station, the traffic situation on the approach roads and western gateways is quite favorable.
In the access road area to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway (section from the intersection of Binh Thuan overpass to Vo Tran Chi street), although vehicles have high density, traffic jams do not occur. Vehicle flows move smoothly under the regulation of functional forces.

It is forecasted that today, vehicle traffic at the western gateway of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to be maintained at a high level. The Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police recommends that people proactively manage their travel time, comply with traffic diversion instructions to ensure safe and smooth journeys home.
