In the vibrant emulation atmosphere of the entire Party, people, and army towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, on the DK1 platforms in the middle of the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland, officers and soldiers of Naval Region 2 are still steadfastly clinging to them day and night.
Cadres and soldiers turn political beliefs into concrete and practical actions to excellently complete the task of protecting sea and island sovereignty.
To meet the task requirements in the special conditions at the forefront of waves and winds, officers and soldiers of DK1 rigs constantly improve the quality of training, combat readiness, and mastering weapons and technical equipment.
Training work is deployed according to the motto of basic, practical, solid, taking practice as the main, proficient in combat plans, and handling situations.
Promoting the heroic tradition of DK1 Battalion "Strong and brave; overcoming all difficulties; solidarity, discipline; maintaining sovereignty", offshore platforms are not only "life milestones" at sea but also a solid support for fishermen to reach out to sea and stick to the sea for many days.
Towards the 14th Party Congress, the Party Committee and the Command of DK1 Battalion launched a peak emulation campaign to accelerate, break through, and achieve achievements to celebrate the Congress and the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (06.01.1946 – 06.01.2026).
With the spirit of "high determination, drastic action, practical efficiency", the emulation movement has spread strongly on the rigs, focusing on contents such as good training, high combat readiness, strict discipline, building regular and exemplary units, mastering weapons and technical equipment.
At the same time, the Party committees and commanders of the oil rigs promote propaganda and political education, clarifying the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the meaning and importance of the 14th Congress.
Thereby building a solid political bravery for officers and soldiers, a spirit of solidarity and unity, ready to receive and successfully complete all assigned tasks.
Sharing from DK1/10 rig, Captain Tran Van Luc - Political Commissar of the unit - said that officers and soldiers are very excited and have high expectations for the 14th Party Congress.

At DK1/8 rig, Captain Nguyen Thanh Khiem - Commander of the rig - said that the unit has thoroughly grasped the tasks to each officer and soldier, developed combat readiness plans, strengthened on-duty forces, observed, detected targets from afar, and trained proficiently combat plans, not to be passive or surprised in any situation.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hieu - Secretary of the Party Cell, Political Commissar of DK1/16 rig, promoting the leadership role of the Party cell and solidarity and unity within the unit is a key factor for officers and soldiers to complete their tasks.
For young soldiers celebrating Tet away from home for the first time, the feeling becomes even more special. Sergeant Nguyen Pham Nhat Khuong, soldier of DK1/10 rig, said he is proud to be trained in the military environment and wishes to soon stand in the ranks of the Party, dedicating his youth to the Fatherland.
