On the afternoon of June 22, the Hanoi People's Committee coordinated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the handover ceremony of Ba Vi National Park and the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups under the Hanoi People's Committee.
Attending the ceremony from the Central Government were: Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra; Central Committee members: Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Trinh Viet Hung; and representatives of leaders of relevant units.
On the side of Hanoi City, there were: Politburo Member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation Tran Duc Thang; Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Trong Dong; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Dai Thang; and representatives of leaders of relevant units.
Preserve and further promote the unique values of the two institutions
Speaking at the reception ceremony, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang said that Ba Vi National Park and the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups are two national-level institutions with a particularly important position and role for the sustainable development of the country.
In recent years, the two institutions have made many important contributions to the cause of environmental protection, nature conservation, preservation and promotion of national cultural identity. These achievements have created a very important foundation for continued development in the new stage" - Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee emphasized.
According to Mr. Vu Dai Thang, the Government and the Prime Minister's decision to hand over these two particularly important institutions to be directly under Hanoi City shows the Central Government's trust in the Party Committee, government and people of the Capital.
This is a great honor but also a very heavy responsibility for Hanoi City.
Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee said that the city will focus resources to preserve and further promote the unique values of the two institutions.
For Ba Vi National Park, the city will focus on protecting forest ecosystems, biodiversity, and natural landscapes; promote scientific research, environmental education; develop ecotourism and experiential tourism models in a sustainable direction; build Ba Vi into a typical symbol of green development and harmony with nature.
For the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, the city will continue to invest in improving the quality of activities; strengthen programs to preserve, perform, and promote traditional cultural values; develop unique cultural and tourism products.
From there, gradually building this place into a national and international cultural exchange center, an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
The city will also focus on applying science and technology, digital transformation, improving governance quality; effectively mobilizing social resources; strengthening cooperation with organizations, experts, and scientists at home and abroad to effectively exploit the potential of the two institutions, ensuring harmony between preservation and development.
Synchronous integration into the Capital's development plan
Speaking at the reception ceremony, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra said that the Hanoi People's Committee needs to focus on performing well some of the following tasks.
First, receive the two units in their original state to ensure continuous and stable operation; not interrupting professional tasks being implemented. In which, the Hanoi People's Committee presides over and coordinates with Phu Tho province to thoroughly and comprehensively review land, forest resources, and biodiversity of Ba Vi National Park to build a unified and synchronous management mechanism.
In addition, comprehensively and comprehensively review the organization of the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups.
Second, synchronously integrate these two spaces into the Capital's development plan according to the "green - smart - identity" mindset. In which, closely link with strategies for science and technology development, innovation, environmental ecosystem, cultural industry, high-quality tourism and development of the Capital region.
Forming a space for ecological - cultural - high-tech development in the West of Hanoi, creating new momentum for green growth, improving the quality of life of people and creating unique values and competitive advantages of the Capital in the region and internationally.
Third, pay special attention to the contingent of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the two units. In which, the city needs to receive the existing contingent in its entirety; ensure full rights, regimes, and policies; create stability and peace of mind in work right from the initial stage of transfer.
Fourth, strongly innovate the management model and mobilize development resources. Switch from administrative management thinking to development management thinking; promote digital transformation, application of science and technology and data management; build an effective coordination mechanism between the State, scientists, businesses and the community.
