On August 9, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of Hanoi City Police Department chaired a conference to deploy a peak period of attack and suppression of crimes to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2; towards the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital; ensuring absolute security and safety for the 18th Hanoi City Party Congress.
Accordingly, the City Police will develop and deploy plans and strategies to absolutely protect security and safety of key targets, works, important political, economic, cultural, social and foreign affairs events of the country.
Hanoi City Police also deployed comprehensive and synchronous measures and solutions to ensure security and order in the capital; proactively grasp, analyze, identify, and accurately forecast the situation, subjects and issues related to security and order throughout the city and in each locality, field, and topic to proactively prevent, stop, and eliminate early, from afar, from the grassroots, not to be sudden or surprising.
In particular, the City Police will focus on strongly suppressing organized crimes; high-tech crimes; crimes related to "black credit"; crimes related to weapons and explosives for crime; crimes of murder, intentional injury, disturbing public order, resisting law enforcement officers, human trafficking, child sexual abuse, property violations; crimes and violations of the law related to minors and foreigners; social evils.
Investigate, combat, and destroy drug trafficking and transportation rings, drug production, trading, organization, and illegal use of drugs; violations related to "laughing". Proactively detect and effectively combat corruption, economic crimes, smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit and prohibited goods.
The police of wards and communes have effectively implemented state management of security and order, focusing on management of residence, management of foreigners, management of entry and exit, management of business lines with conditions on security and order, business lines that are prone to law violations.
The Traffic Police force synchronously and drastically deploys measures to ensure traffic safety and order, urban order to reduce traffic accidents in the city. Focus on effectively implementing patrol work, controlling and handling violations of traffic order and safety, especially violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents.
The police force also advised the Steering Committee 197 of the city and authorities at all levels to direct functional units to coordinate in organizing the arrangement and maintenance of urban order, order on roads and sidewalks. Focus on inspecting and handling violations of urban order at routes, areas, complex and key areas, crowded public areas, border areas that frequently violate urban order.
The city police are also determined not to let serious fires or explosions occur during political events and cultural and social activities. Focus on propaganda, inspection, guidance and timely implementation of activities, fire fighting, rescue and relief vehicles, limiting damage to people and property caused by fires and explosions.
