According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, Thanh Hoa City is currently maintaining 66 self-management models of security and order (ANTT), including 34 models of "ANTT surveillance cameras" with a total of more than 1,900 camera eyes, deployed in 34/34 communes, wards and 287 replication points.
In recent times, this model and camera system have contributed positively to helping the police force monitor and promptly handle complex situations and issues related to security and order in the area. Since the model came into operation, people have been more confident in their work and production.
In addition, some types of crimes and violations of the law such as theft, robbery, intentional injury, disturbing public order... have been controlled and significantly reduced compared to before.
In particular, the exploitation of data from the camera system has initially been effective, effectively supporting the work of verifying, investigating, and handling crimes, especially in identifying the means, subject, time and location of the crime.
In 2024 alone, the police forces of wards and communes in Thanh Hoa City have conducted more than 1,000 extractions of images and data to serve the investigation, discovery of cases and handling of violations of the law, while verifying and clarifying 152 cases related to security and order in the area.
Along with the model of "Security and Security Monitoring Cameras", Thanh Hoa City also implements many other self-defense and self-management models such as: the model of "Traffic Safety Schools" implemented in 14 communes and wards, promoting the effectiveness of ensuring traffic order and safety (ATGT), minimizing congestion in front of school gates, especially during rush hours.
The model of "Environmental workers - patrol soldiers" also clearly demonstrated the role and effectiveness of environmental sanitation workers in preventing, combating, and denouncing crimes and violations of the law. Through this model, environmental workers have provided 32 reports related to security and order, of which 12 sources were converted to serve the work of preventing and combating crimes and law violations. In particular, there have been cases where environmental workers have caught a subject stealing property (lighting wires).
