According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper on August 16, the IL-14 aircraft with registration number VN-C482 was moved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to display at the exhibition "80 years of independence - freedom - Happiness" at the Vietnam Exhibition Center.
The transportation of the above aircraft was carried out from 10:00 p.m. on August 13 to 0:00 a.m. on August 14 with a travel distance of 6.5km, from the Vietnam Aviation Museum to the Vietnam Exhibition Center.
To move this aircraft by road, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has closely coordinated with the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation, Aviation Technical Services Joint Stock Company (AESC), a specialized transport unit, the Hanoi Department of Construction, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, and relevant agencies to ensure absolute safety.
Before moving, specialized units have inspected and reinforced according to specialized conservation standards to ensure the original state during transportation.
After transporting to the "Aspiration for the Sky" exhibition subdivision at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, the technical team installed the wing and rear of the aircraft that were removed during transportation for display, ready to serve visitors.



According to information from the Civil Aviation Authority, IL-14 aircraft with serial number VN-C482 is the first IL-14 aircraft of the 919 Transport Air Regiment - the predecessor of today's 919 Flight Group.
This is one of five aircraft provided by the Soviet Government to Vietnam in early 1957 and officially put into operation in 1958.
The IL-14 aircraft with registration number VN-C482 was specifically donated by the Soviet Government to President Ho Chi Minh.
The plane was used to serve scheduled flights carrying Uncle Ho and Party and State leaders during the resistance war against the US to save the country.





The IL-14 is a light transport aircraft produced by the Soviet Union, with a length of 22.31m, a wingspan of 31.70m, and a carrying capacity of 26 - 36 people. The aircraft is equipped with 2 turbocharged engines, maximum speed 415km/h, maximum operating altitude 6,500m, and the longest flight range of 1,700km.
As a plane performing flights, IL-14 with registration number VN-C482 is designed with a passenger compartment including: a 1.2m bed, a desk and seats, four passenger seats in the rear; the restroom and the sink at the rear of the plane. The aircraft deck is paved with carpets.


According to Mr. Uong Viet Dung - Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam - the movement of historical artifacts, aircraft IL-14 with registration number VN-C482 of the Vietnamese civil aviation industry, was carried out in an urgent time under the direction of the Prime Minister and the exhibition organizing committee to display at the exhibition "80 years of independence - freedom - Happiness".
After IL-14 aircraft, the Civil Aviation Authority also moved a Airbus A320 aircraft ( discontinued) to display at the exhibition "80 years of independence - freedom - Happiness" according to the set schedule.
