As Lao Dong newspaper has reported in many articles, in the first months of 2026, the Lo River section passing through Tuyen Quang and Phu Tho provinces was dry and the flow was narrow.
Reporters once recorded in the Vinh Phuc bridge area (connecting Viet Tri ward with Song Lo commune, Phu Tho province), the water level of the Lo River dropped low, revealing many giant underground stone strips, hidden in the jade green river water.

As an important river route, the density of waterway transport vehicles is high, when the water level of the Lo River drops too low, it will cause difficulties in travel, posing a risk of bumping into underground rocks.
Recorded by reporters on the Lo River in Phu Tho in mid-July 2026, it can be seen that the river water level has now been restored. The rocky rapids and low-lying areas of the river with lush grass have now been obscured by the water flow.

Mr. Le Xuan Truong - a resident of Binh Phu commune - shared: "Along the Lo River, my hometown is probably the most wharves, boats travel bustling day and night. We river people pay close attention to the river water level. As it is now, boats travel more easily and safely than in previous months.
