At about 4:30 am on August 5, a fire occurred at the house of Ms. Tran Thi Cau (born 1951, residing in Quang Tho residential group, Bac Gianh ward, Quang Tri province).
The fire occurred in the early morning, the fire quickly broke out and engulfed the house. After the fire was controlled, almost all of the family's property was burned down.
At the scene, the house only had walls, roof and wooden beams burned black, many structures collapsed. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any casualties.
According to the People's Committee of Bac Gianh ward, Ms. Cau's family is considered a near-poor household, with 3 people, including one child suffering from mental illness.
Notably, Ms. Cau's family's house was just repaired in 2025 under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. After a period of use, the house was burned down by a fire, causing the family to fall into difficult circumstances.
Right on the morning of August 5, Mr. Le Minh Hien - Vice Chairman of Bac Gianh Ward People's Committee, along with representatives of departments, agencies, unions, Party committees and the Front Work Committee of Quang Tho residential group, came to the scene to visit, encourage and provide initial support to Ms. Cau's family.
Local leaders shared the losses of the family, and encouraged the members to overcome difficulties soon and stabilize their lives.
Bac Gianh Ward People's Committee said it is coordinating with relevant units to review the extent of damage to propose a long-term support plan for the family.
Along with immediate support, the Front Working Committee of Quang Tho residential group has launched and called on agencies, unions, businesses, philanthropists and people to join hands to help Ms. Cau's family overcome the consequences of the fire and soon stabilize their lives.
