The Hai Phong City Military Command directed the Engineering force to organize the relocation and safe handling of a 300 kg bomb left over from the war discovered at 96 Cau Dat, Le Chan ward. The bomb is about 1.2m long, 35 cm in diameter, and weighs 300kg.
Previously, during the construction of the house foundation, Mr. T.T. M's family (land plot owner) discovered a bomb located at a depth of about 4 m. Immediately after receiving the report from the people and the Military Command of Le Chan Ward, the Hai Phong City Military Command directed the Engineering Corps to urgently arrive, inspect, and verify information and characteristics of the explosive.
After completing technical plans and ensuring sufficient safety conditions, the Engineering force organized the relocation of the bomb to the destruction area according to regulations.
To ensure safety during the bomb relocation process, Le Chan Ward People's Committee organized a road ban from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM on September 4th on Cau Dat street, the section from Cau Dat - Hai Ba Trung intersection to Cau Dat - Nguyen Duc Canh intersection.
