The Day River Overpass Bridge is located on the border between Kim Son District (Ninh Binh Province) and Nghia Hung District (Nam Dinh Province). The bridge is 1.2km long with 2 approach roads of 3.25km long, designed speed of 80km/h. The project has a total investment of over 682 billion VND from the central budget and the Ninh Binh provincial budget.
Mr. Pham Quoc Chinh - Director of the Ninh Binh Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) said that the completed construction volume is currently about 85% with a value of nearly 497 billion VND. The bridge section has basically completed the installation of a bridge span of 22/22 spans and is completing the bridge deck, railings... The road section has completed the embankment, cross-drainage system and is continuing to complete auxiliary works.
The Day River Overpass Bridge is a level I traffic project with a main span structure using a continuous beam according to the balanced cantilever casting method with a span diagram (85+130+85)m, on the foundation of a bored pile with the largest pile length of over 100m.
This is a traffic route that plays a very important role, contributing to the completion of the coastal road according to the plan, traffic infrastructure in the area, forming the main coastal traffic axis to facilitate inter-regional socio-economic development.
At the same time, strengthen national defense and security, create favorable conditions for responding to climate change and complete the coastal corridor between Ninh Binh - Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh - Thanh Hoa according to the approved plan.
To ensure the project's progress, the Ninh Binh Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board has developed detailed progress for the remaining volume of the project and increased equipment and machinery, organized overtime to speed up the construction progress of the remaining items.
The project is expected to be completed on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The coastal road construction project through Ninh Binh province (phase I) was approved by the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council in Resolution No. 41/NQ-HDND dated September 30, 2019 and the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee approved the project in Decision No. 1358/QD-UBND dated November 4, 2020.
