The Thuan An estuary Overpass is permanently built with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete, with a total length of 2.36km and a width of 20m; the main span is up to 23.5m wide.
The bridge uses a mixed girder - cable structure, the form of a bridge between a cable-stayed bridge and a prestressed concrete bridge, with a main span of 218m long - a technical and cost-effective solution.

The Hue coastal road project is 21.8km long; in phase 1, 7,785km will be implemented, including Thuan An bridge, with a total investment of VND 2,400 billion from the central and local budgets.
The bridge is expected to be technically opened to traffic on September 2 and completed by the end of 2025 if the site handover progress is guaranteed.
The People's Committee of Hue City said that after completion, the coastal route will connect with the national coastal road system, contributing to the development of tourism, economy - society; strengthening regional connectivity, North - South transportation, natural disaster prevention and rescue more effectively.
