On the morning of July 13, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of Yen Bai Ward People's Committee (Lao Cai province) confirmed that the ward government had just received a report from the police about a cadre of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai province dying in a hanging position at the agency headquarters.
The deceased victim is a male, over 50 years old, working as an accountant," the leader of Yen Bai Ward People's Committee added.
According to some witnesses, the victim was found in the agency's parking lot area, but the police are still continuing to clarify the incident.
Currently, the police force has completed the scene examination and brought the body of the male officer to his family for funeral arrangements according to regulations.
