Urgently restore infrastructure and traffic caused by storms in Gia Lai

Gia Lai - Storm No. 13 seriously damaged urban and transportation infrastructure, the province urgently ordered the reconstruction of infrastructure, urban beautification and stabilization of people's lives.

On December 22, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province issued an Order to build emergency works to overcome the consequences of natural disasters caused by storm No. 13, promptly rebuild technical infrastructure, beautify urban areas, stabilize people's lives and maintain the role of a green economic - tourism center of the province.

The Provincial People's Committee requested immediate handling of damages to restore traffic, ensure safety of works on urban routes such as Dien Bien Phu, Hung Vuong, Phan Chu Trinh, Le Duc Tho, Ngo Gia Kham...; National Highways 1D, 14C, 19B, 19C, 25 and provincial roads: DT663, DT664, DT667, DT629, DT633, new National Highway 19.

The repair work is implemented in 7 projects, including: Repairing the lighting system and urban green parks after storm No. 13. Renovating the lighting system of some main roads and intersections that were severely damaged by storm No. 13 and could not be restored; Repairing lighting architectural works; Handling environmental sanitation and urban landscape due to storms and floods; Repairing traffic infrastructure on urban roads in Quy Nhon City (old); Repairing traffic infrastructure on decentralized national highways and provincial roads in the east of the province; Repairing traffic infrastructure on decentralized national highways and provincial roads in the west of the province.

The total investment capital for the 7 projects is 194 billion VND, the implementation period is from 2025-2026, managed and implemented by the Director of the Department of Construction.

According to the People's Committee of Gia Lai province, storm No. 13 has caused serious damage to the province's transportation and urban infrastructure: fallen trees, cartilage sidewalks, landslides, damaged road surfaces, potholes, signs, markers, small bridges, eroded culverts; lighting infrastructure, coastal parks, damaged public works, polluted urban environment.

The province has urgently rebuilt, restored technical infrastructure and urban embellishment, ensuring smooth and safe traffic, soon stabilizing people's lives and serving production and business.

The issuance of an Order to build emergency works to overcome the consequences of natural disasters caused by storm No. 13 on urban roads, national highways, provincial roads and in the work of urban construction is necessary, urgent and in accordance with legal regulations.
