On November 27, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province announced that it had issued a sea ban to proactively respond to storm No. 15.
Accordingly, to ensure the safety of people and vehicles operating at sea as the storm is approaching, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes, wards and coastal special zones to announce a ban on all vessels, including: tourist boats, transport vessels, fishing vessels and other types of vehicles operating and traveling at sea.
The time of the sea ban is 7:00 a.m. on November 28 until further notice.
The work of calling for and arranging boats to take shelter from the storm; requiring all fishermen on cages and boats to return to shore must be completed before 6:00 p.m. on November 28.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Border Guard Commander, the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Director of the Department of Construction, the Department of Fisheries and Sea Affairs to coordinate with coastal localities to closely monitor weather developments; proactively notify fishermen and owners of means of transport and fishing to return to the sea after the storm, develop appropriate production plans, and ensure safety.
Regarding the work of ensuring the safety of people and vehicles, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested communes, wards, coastal special zones and relevant agencies and units to direct organizations and individuals operating in the fields of ship repair, shipping, and sea transport to implement measures to prevent natural disasters and search and rescue according to the plan.
Coastal localities must increase propaganda and instruct fishermen to strictly follow storm shelters and anchor in accordance with the instructions of competent authorities.
Absolutely do not leave people on ships, aquaculture cages or cages during the storm.
