On July 12, the Department of Construction of Quang Tri province said that it is surveying the demand for registering to travel by passenger bus for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of departments, branches, and central agencies located in the area.
This is the basis for synthesizing and submitting to the Provincial People's Committee a plan for organization and financial support during the initial working period at the new administrative center.
According to the plan, the shuttle bus will operate 4 trips and 4 trips back each day, divided into time frames: morning from 5:00 am to 5:45 am, afternoon from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The journey starts from the old Administrative Center (Dong Ha Ward), through Hung Vuong, Tran Hung Dao, Le Duan Lines, continuing along National Highway 1 to the new Administrative Center (Dong Hoi Ward, Quang Tri Province) and vice versa.
The leader of the Department of Construction said that the implementation is to facilitate the daily movement of officials. However, the specific plan will be based on the number of official registrations. If there are enough people, the unit will contract with the transport company and build a suitable fee. The registration period lasts until July 15.
Mr. Le Viet Anh, an officer of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province, said that organizing buses to pick up and drop off is a practical solution.
If supported, he plans to register to use the vehicle every Monday and Friday to move from his residence in Dong Ha ward to Dong Hoi ward and vice versa.
Currently, more than 1,300 cadres of agencies and organizations of Quang Tri province have previously regularly moved to the new administrative center.
Previously, the province also proposed organizing a train route to pick up and drop off officials from the old area to the new center, but this plan was temporarily suspended.
