On July 11, Hanoi City Police held a conference to disseminate the task of ensuring security and order (ANTT) for activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and deploy temporary regulations on implementing security and order (ANTT) for events taking place in the city.
At the conference, Colonel Doan Duc Thang - Chief of Staff, briefly presented the plan and assigned the task of ensuring security and order for programs and activities related to the important event of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
Accordingly, the City Police have proactively established a Steering Committee for security and order assurance, assigning responsibility to each unit, ensuring "clear people, clear work, clear responsibility", with the core task of always being proactive, absolutely not allowing sudden or unexpected events to happen.
Arrange maximum forces and means to effectively implement the plans of the City Police, combined with promoting the all-people movement to protect national security, mobilizing the combined strength of the entire political system.
Promote the role of forces participating in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level; strictly implement on-duty and combat work; synchronously deploy peak periods of crime prevention, general inspection of accommodation management, management of weapons and explosives; prevent traffic congestion, fires and explosions... before, during and after the celebration.
Strengthen propaganda work, refute false and hostile arguments, and cover positive information about commemorative activities. Closely coordinate with other forces to ensure absolute safety for celebrations and sideline activities.
Concluding the conference, the Director of Hanoi Police requested the comrades in the Board of Directors to proactively carry out assigned tasks, direct units to synchronously implement security and order assurance plans before, during and after the General Meeting.
For functional departments, the Director of Hanoi Police requested urgent development of plans, clearly assigning responsibilities to each unit and guiding commune-level police to carry out tasks with the motto "clear people, clear work, clear efficiency, clear responsibility".
At the same time, based on the overall plan of the City Police and the plan of the functional departments, 126 commune-level Police must develop a specific plan, report to the City Police Department and deploy synchronously, ensuring serious implementation of security and order assurance work in the area.
"The entire City Police force must concentrate the highest human and material resources, mobilize the most elite officers, strengthen national security protection; ensure absolute safety for international groups as well as people coming to the Capital to attend the Festival; absolutely ensure that there are no sudden or unexpected situations before, during and after the Festival" - Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung emphasized.
