Present at the construction site of the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway project, the urgent working atmosphere covers all items. These days, construction teams are simultaneously focusing on asphalt pavement, completing traffic safety systems, signs, median strips and final technical items. At the construction site, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chien, a construction worker, said that in recent days, the brothers have focused on asphalt paving and completing the final items. "Although working hard and having to work all night many days, everyone tries. Seeing each meter of road completed, we are very happy and proud to have contributed to opening the expressway to traffic early, serving the people, Mr. Chien shared.
Mr. Nguyen Van My (Tan Hoa commune, Can Tho city) excitedly said: "When the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway is completed, the economy, culture and society of the region will have many positive changes, making people travel more convenient". The total investment of the entire project is more than 27,500 billion VND. When completed, the expressway will play a role as the backbone of Mekong Delta traffic, contributing to shortening travel time, improving transport capacity and promoting regional connectivity.
Another iconic project, Long Thanh International Airport (Long Thanh Airport), will also officially welcome the first flight on December 19, which is expected to turn this airport into a regional air transit center, a "push" to help Dong Nai province's economy develop, significantly changing the lives of thousands of people after relocating land to build the airport.
In Hanoi, on a land area of nearly 10 hectares in Thuong Phuc commune, it was chosen as the starting location for the Olympic Sports Urban Area Construction Investment Project. The project has a scale of 9,171 hectares, with a total investment of VND 925,651 billion, deployed in 11 communes. Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Ta Huu Tho - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Thuong Phuc Commune (Hanoi) - said that the commune being chosen as the starting location for the Olympic Sports Urban Area Project is an honor for the locality and the people in the area. Up to this point, all preparations are ready.
Long-term vision from key projects
Compared to the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of 250 key projects nationwide, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, held on August 19, 2025, the difference of the groundbreaking ceremony, inauguration and opening of 234 projects this time has a total investment of more than 2 times, up to 3.4 million billion VND. They create strong connections, helping to shorten geographical distances, promote the circulation of goods, tourism, and international investment.
In addition to transportation, medical, cultural and sports projects such as Hue International General Hospital, Hanoi Olympic Sports Urban Area or Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House are all clear evidence of concern for the quality of life of people, especially in the context of epidemics, the need for health care and cultural and social activities becoming increasingly important. These works not only serve one generation but also prepare for future generations.
In addition to transportation and social works, industrial and energy projects also play an important role in the national development strategy. Socialized investment not only brings in large financial resources but also motivates the private sector to participate strongly in large-scale projects, contributing to improving the quality of works and speeding up construction progress. This also affirms the role of the State in leading development, while expanding the participation of the non-state sector in key development projects.

Thereby, affirming the socio-economic achievements that have been achieved, while creating new momentum and motivation for the next development stage, marking an important political milestone to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.
