On June 29, at the 10th Conference, the Executive Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee agreed on the investment policy for the 500kV Krong Buk - Tay Ninh 1 Transmission Line Project proposed by the National Power Transmission Corporation.
Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie K'dam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, requested the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to direct the Provincial People's Committee to closely coordinate with localities, ministries, and relevant sectors to implement procedures according to their authority, ensuring strictness, efficiency and compliance with legal regulations.
According to the proposal, the project has a total investment of more than 14,000 billion VND, of which the investor's contributed capital is more than 4,200 billion VND, and the remainder is expected to be mobilized from the World Bank.
The project aims to ensure full capacity transmission of power sources in the Central and Central Highlands regions, including hydropower, solar power, wind power and power sources using gas turbines to the national power system.
Thereby increasing the ability to supply electricity to the South, Central and Central Highlands regions, contributing to ensuring energy security, improving transmission capacity and reducing power loss.
The 500kV Krong Buk - Tay Ninh 1 transmission line is about 330km long, passing through localities including Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Dong Nai City, Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh.
The project is expected to use nearly 1,300ha of land, with an operating term of 50 years from the date of land allocation, land lease or permission to change land use purpose.
According to the plan, the project will be completed and energized and put into operation in 2030.
