On June 27, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province organized a meeting and a race to respond to the Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control in 2026 with the theme "United determination to build communes, wards, and special zones without drugs".

The program is organized at Lam Vien Square (Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat), connected online with the national launching ceremony in Hanoi and simultaneously deployed in 119 communes, wards, and special zones in the province.
Attending were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dang Hong Sy; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Thuan Bich, along with leaders of departments, branches, armed forces, union members, youth, students and a large number of people.

At the meeting, delegates watched the launching program of the Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control 2026 organized by the Central Government; and at the same time observed a minute of silence to commemorate victims of drug deaths, officers who sacrificed in the fight against drug crime and families suffering the consequences of this social evil.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, provincial leaders and thousands of people who are officials, soldiers, union members, youth, students and people participated in the mass race around Xuan Huong Lake.

Similar activities are also organized simultaneously in 119 communes, wards, and special zones throughout the province, contributing to spreading the message of building a safe, healthy, and drug-free community.
According to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, the series of activities aims to effectively implement the Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control in 2026; promote propaganda of the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and the whole society in preventing and combating crime and drug evils.

Through the program, the province continues to call for the joint efforts of the whole society in building a safe and civilized living environment, contributing to the formation of communes, wards, and special zones without drugs and ensuring sustainable development.
