On January 20, Hanoi City Police held a conference to review the progress of implementing Plan No. 375 dated October 31, 2025, on the 60-day and night peak period of general review and cleaning of vehicle registration data and driver's licenses in the area.
At the Conference, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Me, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of the City Police, briefly reported on the situation and results of implementing Plan No. 375 in the week from January 13 to January 19.
Besides the positive results, the report clearly states that the progress of implementation between units and localities is still uneven; some data groups are still complex, with large volumes, requiring continued focus on processing in the short remaining time of peak period, ensuring both speed and quality.
Next, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ba Ngu, Deputy Head of the City Police Staff Department, reported on the results of monitoring and urging the implementation of assigned tasks at the previous meeting.
The report emphasized the requirement to continue to strictly maintain the daily meeting regime to count progress; clearly define the responsibilities of heads in directing and operating; strengthen self-inspection and self-assessment of data and dossier quality at each unit to limit errors and prevent backlogs in the final stage.
Speaking at the conclusion of the Conference, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky, Deputy Director of the City Police, emphasized that the peak time for general review and cleaning of vehicle registration data and driver's licenses according to Plan No. 375 is no longer long, requiring units to uphold the highest sense of responsibility and determination, clearly identifying "no time to extend".
Each unit needs to proactively identify all shortcomings, difficulties, and obstacles in the implementation process; units that are still slow in progress must urgently accelerate and focus resources to compensate for the slow progress.
For professional departments, the Deputy Director of the City Police requested to directly go to the grassroots level, guide according to the motto of "hand in hand" for commune-level police; and at the same time develop and promulgate specific and clear criteria for each difficult data group to unify the way of doing things. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen urging and actual inspection at units that are still slow to implement, promptly remove difficulties, and ensure the overall progress of the whole City.
For commune-level police, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky requested to really accelerate, promote the spirit of proactiveness and responsibility, and have no reason not to complete on schedule.
In the process of implementation, if problems or difficulties arise, they must be promptly reported to be guided and handled immediately; easy data needs to be prioritized for completion first, difficult data must be proactively summarized and reported to have appropriate solutions.
Units must regularly report on the progress and results of implementation organization; at the same time, commanders of units must have specific commitments to complete assigned targets and tasks; forces under the commune-level police strengthen coordination and mutual support, create comprehensive strength, and be determined to complete peak periods according to the set goals and requirements.
