According to Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the adjusted Power Plan VIII and the Provincial Plan for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050, the province is allocated to develop 22 wind power projects along with 500kV and 220kV transmission grid systems to ensure stable power supply, serving socio-economic development, national defense and security.
This is an important resource, which can contribute to promoting growth, increasing budget revenue and creating new development momentum for the locality.
To date, 21 out of 22 projects have installed wind measuring poles. Of which, 14 projects have completed wind measurement, 6 projects are undergoing measurement and one project is constructing wind measuring poles.
The province has also received proposals from 17 projects, of which 10 projects have been reported to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration; the remaining projects are being received and appraised according to the provisions of the 2025 Investment Law.
However, the Provincial People's Committee assessed that the progress of some projects is still slow, the quality of dossiers is not uniform, and the coordination between agencies and units in some contents is not close.
Obstacles related to power grid infrastructure, connecting transportation and planning work have not been completely resolved.
To remove difficulties, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate with Lang Son Power Company to advise the Provincial People's Committee to work with Vietnam Electricity Group and Northern Power Corporation on connection and capacity clearance plans, and complete the report before April 5.
Investors who have been approved for surveys, research, and wind measurements must submit proposals before April 15, otherwise they will not be considered further.
The province also requested to review the capacity of investors, resolutely not considering cases of not being serious, not having sufficient capacity or exceeding the deadline.
At the same time, communes and wards with wind power projects must complete the update and adjustment of the general plan in April; in case of delay, responsibility will be considered.
