On July 11, Lang Son Provincial People's Committee announced that it had approved the feasibility study report of the Luong Van Tri Central Park and Public Parking project in Luong Van Tri ward. The project has a total investment of nearly 126.6 billion VND from the provincial budget, expected to be implemented in the period 2026-2028.
The project is invested by the Lang Son Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, with a total recovered area of about 14,900 m2. In which, the park area is 8,521 m2 wide; the remaining part is for restoring sidewalks, traffic roads and parking lots.
For deployment, works belonging to the Provincial Library, VNPT Lang Son Telecommunications, Cua Dong Post Office and a row of post office collective houses located within the project area will be demolished. Some green trees, sidewalks and technical infrastructure will also be moved or rebuilt.
The park space is arranged with three highlight areas. The center is a circular square with a diameter of 15.6 m, paved with granite with star anise patterns.
In the center of the square is placed a cluster of zither and anise symbols about 4.5 m high on a monolithic stone pedestal.
From Hung Vuong street, people can enter the park through two paths. Between the two paths is a name sign made of natural slab stone, engraved with two-sided letters.
On Quang Trung street, a cluster of decorative lights is arranged to simulate hills and mountains, evoking the typical landscape of Lang land.
The second highlight is located next to Da Tuong street, opposite the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee headquarters. Here, a full-blown granite bust of comrade Luong Van Tri, 90 cm high, is placed on a stone pedestal 1.7 m high. Surrounded by a memorial flower garden, rest chairs, decorative lights and cloud-shaped canopies.
The area near Mai The Chuan street is reserved for community activities, including a children's playground, a gym, rest chairs and an art lighting system. The park has about 500 m2 of square, nearly 5,000 m2 of lawns, ornamental plants and more than 3,000 m2 of pedestrian paths.
In front of the Provincial Party Committee headquarters, a parking lot of about 3,613 m2 will be arranged, which can be converted into an event venue. About 2,766 m2 of sidewalk has also been renovated, paved with anti-slip stones; the above-ground power system has been replaced by underground cables.
In total investment capital, site clearance costs are more than 57.2 billion VND, construction is nearly 44.72 billion VND and contingency is nearly 18.68 billion VND.
