On the afternoon of June 19, Cau Giay Ward People's Committee (Hanoi City) held a meeting with representatives of press agencies to celebrate the 101st anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2026).
At the meeting, Chairman of Cau Giay Ward People's Committee Ngo Ngoc Phuong thanked and sent best wishes to leaders, reporters, and editors of press agencies who joined hands to accompany, help, and mobilize large resources for important tasks of the ward.
In the first 6 months of 2026, Cau Giay ward has seriously implemented the leadership and direction of the City, the Party Committee, and the Ward People's Council. In terms of economy, state budget revenue (NSNN) in the area, the total estimated implementation reached 27,968.310 billion VND, reaching 300.8% compared to the city's assigned estimate. After excluding some revenue items, this figure is estimated at 6,559.320 billion VND, equivalent to 70.5% of the estimate.
Regarding culture and society, Cau Giay ward recorded many positive results and all achieved 100% of the set plan. In which, the rate of population participating in health insurance reached 96.3%. In the field of labor, the rate of workers participating in compulsory social insurance on the total labor force reached 49%; the rate of voluntary social insurance participation reached 4%; and the rate of participation in compulsory unemployment insurance reached 47.5%.
Cau Giay Ward also excellently completed environmental and living targets when achieving a rate of 100% of households supplied with clean water, and at the same time achieving 100% of domestic waste being sorted, collected and transported on the same day. Health and social security work also achieved the goal with the rate of underweight malnutrition in children under 5 years old decreasing by 0.1% compared to the previous year.
Regarding urban management and development, resource - environmental management, the ward has completed 100% of site clearance work ahead of schedule as assigned by the city. Typical projects are: Project to build a road connecting Cau Giay street to Dich Vong new urban area; project to invest in building Ring Road 2.5 section from Dich Vong new urban area to Duong Dinh Nghe street.
In addition, the N01 D17 resettlement housing project in Dich Vong new urban area has also completed 100% of the items. The project has been inspected for fire prevention and fighting, construction quality inspection and is being handed over to residents.
Sharing at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Thi Lieu - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Cau Giay Ward acknowledged the press's companionship with the activities of the Cau Giay Ward government through quality reports and news articles.
According to Ms. Lieu, the press is a bridge between the Party Committee, government and people and vice versa.
The actions of the ward are informed by reporters and editors to help people better understand the activities of the government. "Personally, we have received many encouraging words from neighborhood group leaders after they watched programs and news articles in the press. This shows the very positive spreading role of the media" - Ms. Lieu emphasized.
In the opposite direction, the press also promptly reflects the shortcomings and inadequacies in practice. No area manages a densely populated city where everything is perfect. Therefore, objective reflections from the press help Cau Giay ward detect problems and handle them promptly.
Through the press, Cau Giay ward has an important information channel to improve management efficiency and serve people better and better. This is also the motivation for wards to emulate and strive to complete tasks well, contributing to building an increasingly developed society" - Ms. Lieu pointed out.
