Representatives of the leaders of Khanh Hoa province expressed deep condolences for the sacrifice of Captain Nguyen Xuan Hai, and at the same time sent sincere condolences to the family. The comrade's sacrifice is a great loss not only for the family but also for the police force and the locality. The province will care for and support the family to soon overcome the pain and stabilize their lives.
According to Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, the incident occurred during a peak period of attacking and suppressing crime, ensuring security and order, and at the same time deploying a plan to fight and prevent illegal sand mining activities on the Cai River.
Previously, at 0:40 on March 21, the working group of Dien Lam Commune Police including Captain Nguyen Xuan Hai (born in 1993) and Captain Nguyen Ngoc Hai (born in 1995) conducted a patrol and discovered a raft illegally mining sand near the Cai River bank, passing through Dong Tran 3 village, Dien Lam commune.
When detecting the police force, the subjects on the raft quickly drove the vehicle to the middle of the river and fled.
In the process of preventing and keeping violating vehicles to serve the verification and handling work, Captain Nguyen Xuan Hai went missing on the river.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police directed the forces to urgently organize search and rescue, and at the same time take investigation measures to clarify the incident.
At 7:37 am on the same day, functional forces found the body of Captain Nguyen Xuan Hai, about 100m from the location of the incident.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and handled by functional agencies according to regulations.
