On August 21, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the project of connecting provincial road 163 (Yen Ninh road) with the National Highway 37 bypass has just been approved for investment policy with a total capital of 680 billion VND.
The project is implemented in Yen Bai and Nam Cuong wards, Lao Cai province, managed by Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1 of Lao Cai province.
The road is about 4.5km long, designed according to regional-level road standards, design speed of 50km/h. The roadbed is 25m wide, of which the road surface is 15m wide, and the sidewalks on both sides are a total of 10m wide.
The road surface is invested with asphalt concrete, along with technical infrastructure and auxiliary items built synchronously, in accordance with current regulations and standards and actual conditions.
The project belongs to group B, with a total investment of 680 billion VND from the central budget and provincial budget, expected to be implemented in the period 2027-2030.

The investment in the route aims to complete the regional traffic network, increase connectivity between provincial road 163 and the National Highway 37 bypass, and reduce pressure on existing traffic routes.
Besides the role of connecting traffic, the new road is expected to expand urban space, create conditions to effectively exploit land funds on both sides of the route and promote investment attraction and socio-economic development in the area.
The Management Board of Construction Investment Project No. 1 of Lao Cai province is assigned to complete the Feasibility Study Report, coordinate with relevant agencies to implement the next steps according to regulations.
Departments, branches and local authorities are responsible for coordinating in the process of preparing and implementing the project, especially in contents related to construction, land, environment and traffic safety.
