Accordingly, at 9:10 pm on August 7, the water level of the Thao River at Am Thuong hydrological station reached 24.53m, 0.03m above alarm level 1 and is expected to continue to rise.
Through this, the Phu Tho Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment issued an alarm on the Thao River for the communes:
Ha Hoa, Dan Thuong, Vinh Chan, Hien Luong, Hoang Cuong, Chi Tien, Lien Minh, Cam Khe, Phu Khe, Hung Viet, Dong Luong, Tien Luong and Phu Tho Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Limited Liability Company deploy forces, materials, and vehicles according to the alarm level prescribed.
Along with that, the Phu Tho Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment also requested units to organize patrols and guards to detect and take timely measures to handle incidents and damages of dikes, embankments, and culverts; operate culverts and riverside pumping stations in accordance with procedures, ensuring safety.
At the same time, notify people living outside the dike area to proactively evacuate when the river water rises.
